I've always loved Pinterest; not just because it ticks my creative boxes, but because I have personally experienced the power of its reach and ability to convert clicks into sales.

​I love to see a surprised reaction, when I talk abut the power of Pinterest to generate leads. Let's explore if ​the platform could work ​to help you attract your ideal client and a thriving business.

Leveraging Pinterest For More Than Recipe Inspiration

Pinterest is often misunderstood and ​regarded merely as just a source of recipes or wedding ideas. 

​Some of the people at ​my training were surprised that it's not just women hanging out on Pinterest - did you know that 40% of new sign ups are men? (Source: Omnicore Pinterest By The Numbers Jan 2019)

People also confuse Pinterest ​with social media. ​​It's important to understand that it's a search engine. Users visit for inspiration and with the intent to try and buy!

Now, how would you feel if I were to tell you that ​87% of Pinners have purchased a product because of Pinterest? (Thanks to ​Omnicore Pinterest By the Numbers Jan 2019 for that fun fact.)

I am proof of this. I buy from visiting Pinterest.

Pinterest is not a social media platform where you need to be sociable and make friends.

It is most definitely the place to offer value and serve up an offer.

I find that super exciting.

And the best part is that I can pretty much guarantee that your ideal client is hanging out there.

​How To Find Out If Your Ideal Client Is Using Pinterest

It's really easy to find out if your target audience is using Pinterest.

Head on over to Pinterest and log in. Create an account, if you don't already have one.

​Enter some keywords for your business or niche into the search bar, considering the needs and struggles of your ideal client. Make sure you're looking through their eyes and not yours!

If you can find anything related to your brand or niche in the drop down menu or in the coloured tiles to help you narrow your search even further, then there is room for you on Pinterest.

Worth considering, no?!

I'd certainly say so.
